National SOPHE Membership Includes: Health Education & Behavior Journal, Membership Directory & Buyer Guide, News & Views Bi-Monthly Newsletter, discounted Journals, discounted fees for SOPHE's Midyear Scientific Conference and Annual Meeting, discounted fees for CHES credits, and much more!

A membership year runs from October 1 through September 30. Membership dues paid before July 1 will be applied to the current year. Those dues that are received after July 1 will have their membership begin the following October.

National SOPHE Application Only - New Rates for 2008

The following are the various membership types:

 

REGULAR MEMBER

A health educator who meets one or more of the following is eligible for both National and Great Lakes Chapter SOPHE membership:

  • Holds a graduate or undergraduate degree from a formal health education program
  • Functions or is employed in a health education capacity
  • Is a faculty member of a health education program
STUDENT MEMBER
Student membership is open to students who are enrolled in a health education program. The application must be accompanied by a statement from a faculty member attesting to the full-time status and expected date of graduation. For national membership, students must also be sponsored by an Active Fellow of National SOPHE. Members qualify for student rates for up to one year after graduation.
EMERITUS FELLOW
Emeritus Fellow membership shall be open to a Fellow in good standing who, upon retirement, submits a written request for change of status.
